Øyvind is dedicated to upholding PIHF’s core values and commitment to working “Towards a Collective Pacific Memory.” He brings into a play a vast network for identifying and evaluating international opportunities, and striking the right balance between local expectations and investment participation.

Øyvind has a strong ethical, eco-friendly stance when it comes to helping deliver a shared vision of a greener and more prosperous future for the Pacific. He is keen to promote projects that focus on safeguarding the heritage of contemporaries and future generations in the Pacific realm. It is of paramount importance to recognize and indicate the value of the diverse range of indigenous cultures and traditions typical for these subregions.

Professional Experience

Øyvind has three decades worth of management experience across the United States, Europe and Southeast Asia. He assumed multiple senior management roles and sat on various boards across a variety of industries – for example, the automotive industry, defense industry, and consumer goods and services industry.

Øyvind assists businesses striving to foster intercultural interaction with the aim of achieving lean business models and improving Return on Investment (ROI). In particular, reorganizing supply chain management to drive environmental sustainability improvements, improving quality and consistency, and increasing bottom-line financial results.

Education

Øyvind’s formal education is a combination of Business and Organizational Psychology from the University of Bergen (UiB) and a degree in Innovation & IT Management from the Norwegian Business School in Oslo (BI). He also followed Officer training at the Royal Norwegian Coastal Artillery, and earned a degree in Business Administration from The Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). He speaks three languages fluently and is known for his entrepreneurial ability, enabling him to implement and turn complex strategies into tactical and operational programs while monitoring project progress.
