The PIHF is an international nonprofit corporation, duly registered under the laws of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and in accordance with CMC 4103 (b). The Secretariat of the PIHF is based in Saipan (CNMI), while the Operational Headquarters are in Manila, Philippines. Further, a Sub-Regional Office for Micronesia has been established in the Republic of Palau, and the organization is planning to expand to neighboring subregions by opening new office spaces in Melanesia and Polynesia.
We are fully compliant with all applicable laws and regulations that guide the operation of nonprofit corporations within our working territories. Oversight and accountability mechanisms are in place to promote transparency and accountability, fulfilling the organization’s duties to its community and stakeholders.

Email Storage
All incoming and outgoing email messages are automatically stored in the the PIHF Electronic Message Repository for the purpose of preserving the evidential weight of emails. The emails are protected by legal, technical and organizational measures and are processed according to applicable data protection and privacy laws. They may only be accessed in justified cases in accordance with applicable laws and regulations (e.g. court order, suspicion of criminal conduct, breach of regulatory obligations, material breach of employment contract). Access is only granted to employees of the PIHF in defined functions (e.g. litigation, legal, compliance, risk). The process steps as well as the search criteria used are predefined. All emails are disposed of after a predetermined period of time and according to legal requirements. If you do not wish the retention of private emails by the PIHF, we strongly advise you not to send private, non-business emails to the PIHF email accounts.
